Today was interesting. Woke up. Went to McDonald's for breakfast (:P I do not like McDonald's). Then we went to River Street. In the middle, the rains came. I slipped in the very wet grass. It was fun!! Mark, Wesley, and I made a run for the buses. I should have known not to run through the grass... anyway, we made it. Kanise and them finally showed up. We took pictures with the waving lady statue across the street in the rain. Left for pizza lunch. Did beach observation inside :P It didn't have the same effect. Grandma Slade said that when they come down we may get to go to the beach. Toured the First African Baptist Church (it had tunnels for runaway slaves underneath. I sneaked a peak at their hymn book, and it has some of the same one in ours!! So neat!) Went to the founder of the girl scout's home and heard stories about her mom's ghost. It was kind of lame. We were supposed to go on a walking ghost tour, but, you guessed it, the rain prevented us from doing that. We had a fancy dinner afterwards. I took pictures. Here, see, see:
The Chronicle of the Waving Lady on River Street
ABOVE: Us with our sprite and coke bottles recently purchased from the candy shop
ABOVE: Mystery. I do not know why so many doors had gift wrapping on them
ABOVE: Kanise on this bench thing
ABOVE: Me on the bench. We were in the way of Bob (Mr. Trickett), so we had to take these really quick. Two on my camera, two on Kanise's. There was a lot of moving about.
ABOVE: Spiffy t-shirt. I love it. We were at the front of this shop when the Ms. Smith came by yelling, "Hurry! The rain is coming!!!!" And so it did...
ABOVE: Picture taken from under an awning. Soon after this Mark, Wesley, and I made a run for it.
ABOVE and BELOW: aftermath of the running. I slipped and fell in the grass. It was fun :)
ABOVE: My pants.

I didn't take any really good pictures at dinner or the beach observatory or the church. That concludes day 2.
These are amazing!!!!!! I can't believe I didn't see "Day 2" sooner!!!!! I must say it again: THE PICS WERE AMAZING!!!!!
